siRNA

Pre-designed MISSION™ siRNAs for specific knockdown of human, rat and mouse genes

Source BioScience LifeSciences, in cooperation with Sigma-Aldrich, offers the best performing siRNA resources to suit your specific needs for gene silencing. The MISSION™ line of siRNA was created using the Rosetta siRNA Design Algorithm. Key features of this algorithm include proprietary design rules for reduced off-target effects and for improved knockdown also for low abundant messages (< 10 copies / cell).

Benefits of MISSION™ siRNA

  • Easy - fast and convenient handling, easily titrated, transfected at high efficiency
  • Comprehensive - selection of up to ten siRNA molecules per target gene matching to different regions in the transcript
  • Efficient - increased target specificity and potent knockdown of low abundance messages due to optimisation rules of the Rosetta Algorithm
  • Economical - guaranteed gene silencing
  • Quality - high quality siRNA produced at ISO 9000:2001 certified sites

MISSION™ siRNA Product Overview

Source BioScience LifeSciences offer comprehensive collections of MISSION siRNAs targeting 28172 human, 27493 mouse or 17647 rat genes.

A gene-based search for available siRNAs results in a display of up to 10 different suggestions per gene, ranked for knockdown efficiency as modelled by the Rosetta algorithm. Annotation of the approximate target position gives you a choice to tailor your experiment to particular regions in the transcript of interest.

We guarantee that 2 out of 3 siRNA duplexes selected from this panel will achieve knockdown efficiencies of greater than or equal to 75%. With selecting 3 siRNAs from the panel, you will therefore make sure to obtain a successful experimental result.

Depending on the scope of your experiments, you can choose one of 3 different synthesis scales (2 OD correspond to ~ 10 nmol). It is recommended to start a titration experiment using siRNA concentrations from 5nM up to 30nM.

The expected delivery time will around 5 working days.
