Alpha Diagnostics Products - Resuspension FAQ

1. How do I resuspend my Alpha DIagnostics antibody/peptide?

Antiserum (unpurified, undiluted)

Size: 100 ul/vial
Format: solution or lyophilized powder, contains 0.05% sodium azide or merthiolate
Reconstitute in the original vol. of water (100 ul; dissolve the entire contents in water by mixing or light vortexing at room temp). It is possible to dissolve the contents in larger volume (200-500 ul) but the subsequent dilution may have to be adjusted.
NOTE - insoluble lipoproteins may aggregate on storage. These do not interfere with the solubility of the antibody, spin down and use the clear supernatant

Affinity pure IgG

Size: 100 ug (in 100 ul or 200 ul) supplied as lyophilized powder (see vials for specific format). Buffer: PBS or 100 mM Tris, pH 7.5, 0.1-0.2% BSA, contains 0.05% sodium azide or merthiolate
Reconstitute at 1 mg/ml in water or PBS (dissolve the entire contents in water by mixing or light vortexing at room temp). It is possible to dissolve the contents in larger volume (200-500 ul) but the subsequent dilution may have to be adjusted.

Control/blocking peptide

Size: 100 ug/100 ul or 50 ug/50 ul supplied as solution or as lyophilized powder.
Buffer: PBS, pH 7.5, and 0.05% sodium azide
Reconstitute at 1 mg/ml in water or PBS (dissolve the entire contents in water by mixing or light vortexing at room temp)

Notes: It is possible to increase the reconstitution volume of stock peptide/antibodies to up to 500 ul. Adjust working dilutions accordingly.
