Antibiotics and Selective Antibiotics
Microbial contaminants can have adverse affects on cell culture,
leading to the loss of cultures and potentially erroneous results
should the contamination go undetected.

InvivoGen manufacture a group of protective
antibiotic products which can be used profilacticaly to protect
cultures from contamination.

Normocin - mycoplasma, fungi, gram positive and gram
negative bacteria, used in combination with pen/strep
Primocin - mycoplasma, fungi, gram positive
and gram negative bacteria used without pen/strep
Fungin - kills yeast, mold and fungi, used with
antibacterial agents
Plasmocin - used to protect against and treat
mycoplasma
Pen/strep is also available.
Selective Antibiotics
InvivoGen is a leader in the production of selective
antibiotics. They manufacture a large choice of antibiotics for
selection in both mammalian cells and E. coli. Their
state of the art facilities allow them to produce large quantities
of high quality antibiotics with purity levels exceeding 95%.
All antibiotics are provided as cell-culture tested, sterile
solutions which are ready to use. Some are also available in powder
format.
