RNAi and psiRNA systems
InvivoGen provides a plasmid based system developed
to knockdown the expression of a wide variety of mammalian
genes. The method generates short hairpin RNAs (shRNAs)
eliminating the need to synthesise oligo siRNAs. These
plasmids are called psiRNAs.
psiRNAs are available both pre cloned and validated (either in
house at InvivoGen or by publication) and as expression cloning
vectors. Expression vectors can express a single shRNA
(psiRNA-h7SK) or two different shRNAs can also be
expressed in the same plasmid (psiRNA-DUO).
